Well i couldnt fit much in to those spaces so this is the basic point. [glow=red,2,300]OPTION 1[/glow] Would you like to see the spawning system the same as in Ring wars where u build a castle at say.. Minas Tirith and it benefits all spawns (MT,Dol Amroth, Pelargir etc..) [glow=red,2,300]OPTION 2[/glow] Or would you like so that if you build at one spawn it benefits only that spawn eg build at Minas Tirith and only Minas Tirith spawn upgrades.. not Dol Amroth and Pelargir and Lossarnach..

Hm if u took option 2 u should make castles build alot faster but only benefit that spawn. So lets say max 5 castles. So then u have to keep the spawn in order to make it good and stuff.

i vote same as rw because if you improved spawn at only one place you would never get to see some troops which would kinda be a bummer but wait, hmmmm that would add a lot of strategy to the game.....hmmm well if you are going to do the seperate castle things make all the bases spawn very differently, ie minas tirith footmen, footmen of gondor, royal gaurds, dunedain where as dol would be knight, stronger knight, and like a knight with aura who can heal, and loss would be spearmen, archers, balistas and archer knights...that would be cool because then gondor would have to be smart and build something that would be effective against mordor's spawn...that actually would be really cool. buuut if you were to do that you would have to include like a list of which base spawns infantry,or range, or calvary in the quests section....that would be really cool! but let them start with ten thousand like draknan said..even more strategy that way! ok so if you are going to do it like that...change my vote! sry for the inconveniece

Erm well cloud, big problem with ur idea mate, cos u need spawns to spawn a different group of men, cos if one does rang one riders and one footies its worse.
But then changing some thing like this around would be cool, and maybe makin the spawns that are easier to take spawn a lot nicer after a few castles would be fun. Also castle build time wud have to be greatly decreased!!

This time I'm going to have to go with option 2 but I also think that areas which are obviously more vulnerable (ex: dale, pelargir) should have better castled units then say, Minas Tirith or the Iron Hills. This way, you can either choose a secure-spawn with inferior units or a vulnerable-spawn with superior units.
Edit: Er, yeah, didn't read the posts. I agree with you peeps who said this general idea.

I think I'll pitch this in, everytime you build a castle somewhere, the hitpoints of the main structure should go up along with increased armour, and a possibly, when it reaches its full max of castles, should recieve an attack ability to defend itself w/o use of towers.

This is better, all spawns should be upgraded with the completetion of a castle but maybe the place that built that castle gets some kind of bonus. But still i definately prefer option 1, we have so many new concepts in the map already such as fate points that we really dont need this. It seems like its just for the sake of having something new, but we have enough to not need option 2 for variety and change from the uniform map.

Yeah, but with the current Ring Wars version there's absolutely no reason not to build your castle in Iron Hills, Minas Tirith (even though I personally build in Dol Amroth but still), Moria or in Isengard. If there was a tactical choice of whether to build at the safe spawn or vulnerable spawn I think the map would be much cooler in this respect.

Good idea Imo... Maybe then peeps wouldn't only build castles at spawpoints like Barad Dûr, Iron Hills and Minas Tirith, places that are very hard to conquer For the rest I agree with Panda..
