Sometimes elves just tower up Lorien, so that nobody wants to attack it until the very end of the game. Maybe its better to just send all ur workers to gondor and tower up there? IMO Elven towers are very good towers cuz: - Elven towers do magic damage, so thats 200% damage against normal heavy armor units, since most units except ranged units have heavy armor that's very good.  - Elven towers dont cost more then normal Guard towers. - U can get two workers in Gondor if u're lucky, one from the Heavens and one from Imladaris. - Gondor and shire can pass u wood, so u can build towers nonstop. -They have a bigger range then normal towers (I'm not sure but I think they have ;D) - They look more cooler than the normal guard towers  - If it works well u can counter Harad after hesuicided all his units at Gondor. Bút:<br> - They cant attack magic immune units like grond, but when gronds come to Gondor and destroys all towers, team 1 must be really noobie  - U dont have towers at Lothórien, but u can ask yellow to send his ents to Lorien, and u can send all ur spawns from Imladaris en Mirkwood to there. Plz tell me what u think about that, maybe another threat about this is already open, but I haven't seen it then.  |

basically its a tactic that can be done but...there are alot buts in this ^^ :
_all elven bases become easy targets and gondor becomes only base of good, where its doomed to stay and wait to die
_if Im gondor, I like more to stay alone and build like I want it, for its MY base and I have a precise idea of how I want it to look and where I need space to organize troops, where I want to block etc, so would need to chat alot with elves... zzzz
_I consider towers are more something to take the ennemies wrath, I mean they take the attacks and while they are busy you kill them. also many towers = all heroes get less xp, sometimes no xp at all. units killed by towers dont give xp, gondor towers dont kill alot, mostly hurt units, so its ok....
So I dont like the tactic, but it has its good aspects in particular when gondor isnt too good ^^

well nars maybe u dont gather xp from towerz but if u tower with elves towerz from the begining ( just after 1st attack ) gondor is VERY VERY VERY VERY hard 2 be killed cuz these towerz pwns and u can concentrate on killing towerz around gt (or killing dunland, dol, rhun with ur weak units) and there u can feed all ur heros till 6 lvl for a very lil time  |

well nep, I know (which I said btw) it makes gondor nearly unattackable at least as long as evil dont have many cata....but then gondor is NEVER under attack, so gondor MUST go with the cluster in north, so you have no choice in game anymore, all you can do is clustering north, evil will also come there, and if your unlucky, you get pwned (mordor, naz, moria, easter can basically face alot)...so this tactic leads to some mono-sense game, only fights in north, ergo its only a pure strength game, no more any tactic like some attack in north n others harad so to make naz run up n down without getting any xp....
and btw, you dont get any xp in a cluster...can easilY happen you r just lvl2 after killing gobbo, guldur n rhun....

nars i mean u can xp ur heros in gt. u dont kill gt only kill towerz and xp ur heros there while fs,elves, ... are protecting u or burning down all trees around guldur so its VERY easy 2 kill it. and its easy 2 kill dunland 2 cuz u have mass weak units ( i mean gondor ) and ur units can kill dunland with help of elves ... and btw about xp of naz how can naz get xp if there aren't tons of weak units ? well u attack gt with weak units then u send these weak 2 creep or keep it around gt for the xp ... and fs , (elves) , shire and dwarf can protect u if naz , mordor , easter attack u ...

Well, I mean, it just makes Gondor almost inpenetrable until late game, so that the Fellowship and Elves can stick together and take out Dunland, Gobbo, Dol, Ruhn and maybe Isen and Moria.. Thats what I did in a game, orange left in start, everybody passed wood to gondor, so that they were not able rush it, and while they tried to attack Gondor, we destroyed all team 2's strongholds except for Harad, Minas Morgul and Mordor .. ultimatly, we won.. when Harad had like 10 mumakils and like 200 other units.. was a big fight full of food for my hero's |

nep if you try to cluster north without units as good you're more or less dead, I mean, lots of orcs + wain riders + gobbos + naz and other goodie heroes (like ovatha, silence ruins the effect of cluster) and then you're dead.. unless you run but then you won't get any bases and evil can wait you out till they have catas which can neutralize the defenses of gondor..

well fingolfin....the thing is, in a pro game/private/FM/CM, no one is such a noob to attack gondor when hero cluster is there and/or towers in particular elven ones....so gondor is never attacked and all fights take place cluster vs cluster in north...so just a pure strengt game, no cool strats  |

Hmm I agree with that Narsi, the game will get a bit boring then.. ... but then u have neutralized the whole Harad force, and thats a big one.. Harad can wait until he gets cata's, but by that time elves and fs should be like lvl 5 -6.. with lvl 3 wave, and they own army's ;D ;D |

once again you seem to relate to noobs that you possible have met in games... though rest asure as nars said, no such noobie strats as uber feeding fs to lvl 6 before 3rd castle would occur.

In my expierance when gondor towers up insanely all the outer bases slowly one by one get killed off...which takes a long time but ends with gondor finally falling through lack of support...but only as long as naz are alive...or the game just ends in a draw or a ringdrop

more then naz, the DnD heroes (mouth n owy), cata making spawns from harad n mordor, and saru/bane are important to get rid of massive def at gondor....and drisc is right, at the end only gondor´s centre lives...dol falls easy, then some blizzards/rain of fire on towers and gondor is history
