Thought i'd take u through the way the Fate point system in Battle for Middle Earth will work.
-Fate points are collected by reaching certain conditions or reaching a certain number of kills in the kills list. -They are used to gain upgrades for your army with. -You must reach 5 fate points for your army to upgrade. -Different numbers of Fate points will be given for different things. For example: Rohan kill Grima Wormtongue and they will gain 2 Fate Points. Whilst if they nail Saruman instead they will gain 4 Fate points. Saruman is more important so therefore gives a greater bonus.

I wud just like to pick up on the point from Gez, its a new map so new heroes.
I believe the same people lived in Middle Earth, so maybe u mean different characters being heros but there cant eb all new people!

Hmm there are a few new demi-heros but no real new heros.
Unless u call the Harad and easterling heros new cos they have new (different made up) names. Also anyone that has played the WOTR comp game will know Saleme the Haradrim Huntress who features in BFME (hey, we just thought it was a good hero idea; the hero names have been altered to give Battle for Middle Earth a difference to Ring wars i didnt just want to go and copy all the Harad and Easter heros like Gwaer of Rhun so i made up new made up names.

The Nazgul are undoubtedly one of the most popular teams in Ring wars which is why we have tried to give Nazgul an even more fun approach. Basically in Battle for Middle Earth Nazgul have their very own attack and armor types; Wraith Blades;(attack type) and Ethereal(armor) The reason for this is to give a more real approach to the Naz.
Their damage type is similair to hero damage except whilst hero damage deals 100% damage to most types Wraith blades deals 105% damage instead... However they deal only 85% damage vs hero damage and receive 115% damage from hero attacks. This means Nazgul are weak vs Heros but very strong vs normal units(as in the book and films..) for example when Aragorn takes on the Naz this is a simialair affect.
Not much info on abilities yet for the Naz apart from the Witch King who currently has Healing(obviously...) and Aura of Terror which reduces enemy units armour..
Another thing done with the naz is that when they are group selected they are in order eg Witch king is 1st and Uvatha the horseman is last.. not much but it looks nice =D.

im afraid Incanus that the teams are the same as RW but.. there are differences in units belonging to different ppl etc in some cases.
There are 2 new SPAWNS so far Lond Daer the numenorean port for Shire and the Tower of Cirith Ungol. Theres also an eagle nest which spawns a Great eagle every 10 minutes for FS this isnt actually a building its just doodads really.. Also Raven hill is a light spawn in BFME spawning Raven Scouts for the Dwarves similair to the Crebain Scouts of Dunland. Laketown too is a spawn i cant remember if it featured in B18 but i think it got cut(dont flame me if im wrong...) (Dale is also a spawn btw)
Also i chose to remove Belegost spawn(cos it isnt actually there to be honest) instead in the blue mountains there is a small mine where Dwarf workers can mine gold to repair towers with and such. There is 1 in the Iron Hills atm as well..

Gondor: Faramir, Imrahil, Denethor Rohan: Theoden, Eomer, Eowyn (possibly Theodred) Elves: Celeborn, Galadriel, Elrond 'Halfelven', Cirdan and Thranduil Fs: pretty obvious really.. Shire: Halbarad, Treebeard, Radagast, Tom Bombadillo Dwarf: Dain II, Thorin III Isengard: Saruman, Grima, Ugluk Moria: Balrog, Carzog son of Bolg (Gollum is still being discussed as to his role in BFME) Easterlings: Unconfirmed Harad: Saleme, Saronute, Castar ancestor of Castamir Nazgul: pretty obvious really.. again Mordor: Mouth of Sauron, Shelob, Gothmog, (maybe Shagrat; unconfirmed..)
There may still be heros added so dont worry if ive missed someone off atm.

for easterlings can u have it so there are no wainriders....because if i'm right (probeally not) Wains are caravan like things pulled along by horses/donkeys or something to do with lots of baggage maybe if u could have an assiasain like hero for easter...and then ure lord of khand/rhun some demis for dwarves....people like bifur, bombour..etc...i cant remember which ones were left out of the origanul 13, oh and if ure making erebor make a doo dad representing thorins tomb .....because he was by far the best dwarf in all the books and demends respect!

this might be a very stupid idea but denethor doesnt realy fight and he's doing nothing exept eat...so maby do somthing that he would not fight...less hp or somthing...and take the fire for denethor it's very stupid...i know dene is very important and stuff but he doesnt do anything...it's stupid i know

i got an idea
if u make dimholt so maby do that ara doesnt start with narsil but he starts with ranger sword or somthing and when he gets 2 dimholt he gets narsil(or anduril whatever) and another idea maby 2 do that frodo gets erendil only when he goes 2 lorien.

In response to the topic, I'm pretty sure Aragorn had Narsil reforged during the time spent in Rivendell at the Council of Elrond. But anyway, for some reason it doesn't give me the option of posting on the idea topic so I'll just post it here so I don't forget.
I was thinking that maybe spawnpoints could also build defense towers in addition to castles, which could be less costly and perhaps more powerful than normal guard towers. Another way would be to make castles have an attack to symbolize the spawnpoint growing in power/fortification.
