Battle of the Lonely Mountain

Well basically me and Seb(Lord_Of_Rohan) are making a map about the Battle of the Five Armies.

For all those who dont know it its the one at the end of the Hobbit that Thorin Oakensheild dies in.

Teams are as Follows:
[glow=red,2,300]The Allies[/glow]
*Thorin and his companions
*Dain and Dwarves of the Iron Hills
*Thranduil the Elven King, Elves of Mirkwood
*Gandalf, Eagles later on in game including Gwaihir
*Bard the bowman, Men of Esgaroth

[glow=green,2,300]The Goblins and Wargs[/glow]
*Orc Captain
*Orc Captain
*Warg Cheiftain(the one Gandalf throws the Fire pinecone at)
*Bolg, King of Gundabad and head of the assault.

The battle will go as follows... for the first ten minutes it will be basically Goblins laying siege to the forces on the mountain.
Then the goblins will launch their surprise attack from the north with those that climbed up onto the mountain.
17 minutes ingame and the Eagles arrive.
and then 10 minutes later Beorn arrives, Goblins stop spawning.

Good team wins when the number of Goblin units in the map becomes less than 20.

Evil team wins when the number of good units becomes less than 15, all good heros are dead and 15 goblin units are inside the cave of Smaug.

-Global commands. eg you can type stop or hold posistion to make all your units in the map do that particular action.
-Tactical choices... theres not much point in using Goblins to assault a ridge filled with Elf archers as Elf archers have attack bonuses vs Goblins and so on.
-Detailed terrain, set to what the actual battle was like.
-and of course Custom hero and unit spells...

is this going to slow down bmfe production? oh and by the way, nosaj87 made good map about this, maybe you could get ahold of him and look at his map so you could play it a few times and take some good ideas out of it. he never released it in the end because he grew tired of it, but if you guys saw it i dunno maybe it would help you speed up the process of making the map

pff the maps practically complete already..

and no it wont slow down BFME cos we got 3 makers.. atm.. all that needs to be done in Battle of the Lonely Mountain is spells at the moment. All triggering was done today ^^.

More tactics;
for example -Archers of Esgaroth carry with them only 2 flame arrows which are capable of adding 20 extra damage to an attack and setting the hit enemy on fire dealing 5 damage per second for 10 seconds.
You must decide the best time to use these arrows and not waste them off.

In case any ones interested btw Bilbo is neutral passive and will follow Thranduil around, he is invulnerable but cannot attack, he gets knocked out when the goblins start climbing over the mountains anyway.. So then he just lies on the floor for the rest of the game and is invulnerable so Gobbos cant kill him.

Feel free to give suggestions to anything that wants adding.

whos team is beorn on?

Beorn is comp controlled, basicaly he just comes in and tracks down every orc/warg on the map and kills it.. He got high damage and divine armor + 80% splash. Basically Beorn is the end of the road for the Goblins cos once he comes their spawn stops.

Eagles on the other hand.. each player(except Thorin) gets 2 apart from Gandalf who gets 2 and Gwaihir the Windlord as well.

Seems they shud be seeing as Wargs are counted as an army.
Maybe cos they turned up late or something dunno to be honest

nah i guess Bilbo spent too much of the battle being knocked out to realise what was going on =D.

Maybe bilbo shouldnt be invun...i mean i know he was the main character and with him everything else sets in motion...but by that logic gandalf should be invunarable...so maybe have bilbo as a controlled unit that can go invis a lot and has a few command aura's rather then any offensive skills

lol... y why not make everyone invuln except turin fili and kili cuz they die but the rest be invuln and they own hole vil why not? well I like the idea forsaken I SUPPORT U!! (in somehow ^^)
